Launched in Australia just this month, our Springfree featuring tgoma received Australian Good Design Awards for ‘Product Design’ in the ‘Sport and Lifestyle’ sub-category and ‘Digital Design’ in the ‘Interface Design’ sub-category.

The awards are among the longest standing and most prestigious design awards in the world, and are recognised by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design as Australia’s peak design and endorsement program. The Good Design Awards recognise and reward excellence in design, innovation and creativity at national and international levels.

The Good Design Award is awarded to products or services that, in the opinion of the judges, have not only met the criteria for Good Design but exceed them.

To take out the two Good Design Awards, tgoma exceeded criteria across design, form, function, usability, safety, sustainability, quality, commerciality, innovation, creativity and content.

tgoma is the world’s first outdoor interactive digital gaming and fitness system on a trampoline, encouraging kids and families to get outdoors and be active.

Our tgoma founder Steve Holmes says “Our goal is to shift kids’ behaviour from indoor sedentary play to outdoor active play,” says Steve.

“Instead of fighting technology, it’s about leveraging it to transform screen time from an isolating, sedentary activity to a healthful, engaging experience for the entire family.”

We’re super excited about this news, because Good Design Australia is highly respected for conducting one of the most rigorous and independent evaluation processes in the world. All submissions receive a thorough hands-on evaluation by an expert panel of Australian and international judges and have to meet a range of criteria to even qualify as a finalist.
